TASB Energy Cooperative awarded Direct Energy Business as its retail electric provider. Together, Direct Energy and the Cooperative help members act quickly to lock in a fixed electricity rate over a long-term, exclusive contract that is customized with an eye toward the unique needs of Texas governmental entities. On behalf of participating Cooperative members, Direct Energy searches the wholesale marketplace for the best rate on electric commodities.
Through an electricity service agreement with individual participating members, Direct Energy administers the billing, payment, account switching, and general customer service. Cooperative members also benefit from a dedicated customer service team.
Direct Energy is one of the largest energy suppliers in North America, serving more than three million customers across the continent. Due to its large volume, Direct Energy has the capacity to service all Cooperative members’ electricity needs.
