TASB Energy Cooperative awarded NRG as its retail electric provider. Together, NRG and the Cooperative help members act quickly to lock in a fixed electricity rate over a long-term, exclusive contract that is customized with an eye toward the unique needs of Texas governmental entities. On behalf of participating Cooperative members, NRG searches the wholesale marketplace for the best rate on electric commodities.
Through an electricity service agreement with individual participating members, NRG administers the billing, payment, account switching, and general customer service. Cooperative members also benefit from a dedicated customer service team.
NRG is one of the largest energy suppliers in North America, serving more than three million customers across the continent. Due to its large volume, NRG has the capacity to service all Cooperative members’ electricity needs.
